The FURminator® Nail Clippers are professional quality clippers for easy nail trimming of dogs and cats of all sizes. The adjustable nail guide allows to select the safe cutting depth. This helps to easily trim the nails, without hurting the pet. Thanks to the super sharp, stainless steel edges it is easy to ensure a clean, even cut. The easy-grip handles help to feel secure while trimming, as the clippers lies well in the users hand. For a safe storage, the FURminator® Nail Clippers have a locking function, which saves the edges when the tool is not in use.

Directions for use:
1.)   Monitor your pet’s nails and care for when appropriate to avoid overgrowth.
2.)   Pet’s nails should not touch the floor when standing. Regular maintenance is important for the health and comfort of your pet.
3.)   Begin by applying gentle pressure to the top of the foot and cushioning pad underneath – this will cause your pet to extend its claws.
4.)   If your pet’s nails are white, pay close attention to where the nail turns pink. This is called the quick – where the nerves and blood vessels end in the nail. Cutting into this sensitive area will cause pain and bleeding.
5.)   If your pet has dark nails and you can’t see the quick, trim the very tip of the nail – you will have to trim its nails more often, but it’s the only way to avoid cutting the quick.
6.)   Adjust the nail guide to the desired cutting depth.
7.)Remove the sharp tip, cutting about halfway between the end of the quick and the tip of the claw. Until you and your pet are comfortable, take small clips.
