Directions for Use:
1. Start by using a brush, like the FURminator® Slicker Brush, to detangle the topcoat and help remove any dead undercoat. Following use the comb side of the FURminator® 2-in-1 deMatting & Finishing Tool to detect any mats and further tangles. Pay special attention to areas prone to matting, such as the ears and legs.
2. For mats, use the deMatting side of the 2-in-1 Tool. Make sure to identify the skin from the mat, gently try and split the mat using the wider spaced prongs. As the mat splits move to the narrower prongs until it is fully removed. Make sure you always follow the direction of hair growth.
For difficult mats or tangles, work with care – use short, controlled strokes - and only proceed if your dog is comfortable.
3. To clean the deMatting side, twist the black cover over the exposed prongs to remove any trapped hair. When not in use, close the cover to protect the prongs from damage.
4. Once the mat has gone you should easily be able to move the comb through the coat and remove excess hair, last tangles and finish the fur.
